NTA Extends NCET 2023 Registration Deadline, All You Need to Know
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has recently announced the extension of the registration deadline for the National Common Entrance Test (NCET) 2023. Aspiring candidates looking to secure admission to the 4 Year Integrated Teacher Education Programme (ITEP) now have until July 25, 2023, to apply. NCET 2023: Key Information
Applicants who have already submitted their forms have a chance to make changes to their applications on July 26 and 27, 2023. Initially, the last date to apply was July 19, 2023. However, candidates must keep an eye out for the official announcement of exam dates, which will be made available later. The admit cards will be released three days before the examination.
According to the official notice released by NTA, “The dates of advance City Intimation, downloading of Admit Cards, and declaration of Result will be displayed on the NCET portal at the appropriate time.”
The Significance of NCET
NCET, conducted by NTA on behalf of the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), is a national-level examination that serves as a mandatory requirement for admission to the 4 Year Integrated Teacher Education Programme. Aspiring teachers aiming to join prominent educational institutions like IITs, NITs, RIEs, and Government Colleges for the Academic Session 2023-24 must qualify in this examination.
No Age Limit for NCET 2023
A notable feature of NCET 2023 is the absence of an age limit for candidates. Whether they have already passed the Class 12 or equivalent examination or are planning to do so in 2023, individuals of any age can appear for the NCET 2023 examination. However, candidates must fulfill the age criteria (if any) of the University/Institution/Government College they intend to seek admission to.
Application Fee Details
The application fee differs depending on the candidate’s category. For the unreserved category, the fee is Rs 1200, while OBC (NCL)/ EWS category candidates are required to pay Rs 1000. As for candidates belonging to SC/ ST/ PwBD/ Third gender category, the application fee is Rs 650.
